Works on paper
Works on paper are the fruits of my current research project which explores the absurd in life through the lens of existentialism.
I used symbolism to go beyond what’s obvious in the first instance, and that is exactly where I was able to see the humourous side of the little things in the everyday, embrace the absurd and finally feel grounded.
Inspired by the writings of Camus, Sartre, Kierkegaard and other existentialists I used imagery in an attempt to find meaning and invite the viewer to challenge the inherent absurdity of our quest for meaning.
